Chelsea Home Shirt 08/09
The new Chelsea home kit comprises all the latest fabric technologies that will help to give the players a competitive edge on the field of play.
The new Chelsea kit takes in two key apparel technologies:
ForMotion tailors the kit to meet the unique player movements within the game of football.
-ForMotion apparel is three-dimensionally engineered to move naturally with the player's body. Realizing the shortcomings of traditional two-dimensional apparel, Adidas created ForMotion to follow every curve of the player's body and mimic the natural movements that occur during 90 minutes for a better fit and greater comfort.
ClimaCoolĂ‚® is not just another moisture-wicking fabric. It is an integrated system of technologies that work together to regulate the athlete's body temperature far better than any single fabric technology can. ClimaCoolĂ‚® apparel actively conducts heat and sweat away from the body through a combination of heat and moisture-dissipating materials, ventilation channels and three-dimensional fabrics that allow air to circulate close to the skin.
- By mapping the body's critical heat and sweat zones using infrared cameras, designers are able to place these technologies exactly where they are needed to optimize the athlete's body temperature. An athlete can actually stay cooler in ClimaCoolĂ‚® apparel than they can in bare skin.
